My pastor teaches that you must confess your sins to God every time you pray or else He (God) ignores you. I have always had doubts about this practice as I dont think God would ignore any believer who prayed to Him. I agree with Galyns interpretation of 1John 1:9. Does anyone have any comments on this?

The Last generation (galyn's student) (10-12-2007 21:04:49)

The book was awesome. It has puzzled me since I have become a Christian and follower of Christ. Where does the prehistoric man (cave man) come into bible teaching? I would love to discuss this topic with anyone who has an opinion in regards to 1. if this was a real being, 2. how did the cave man come to being, 3. and what happened to him. I firmly believe God made man in his own image, but is the cave man a figment of man's imagination? and we have been taught the wrong thing in schools. I would love to hear from someone on this subject.

Hi I'm Jan K (09-10-2007 19:04:13)

There are 1 replies, with the last one on 09/10/2007 at 19:04:13 by junebugflies

Yes, Christians are making an Impact (09-01-2007 05:24:14)

Today I have attended a training course to be a Mentor to a child in our local Primary School. The Program is called Kids Hope. It is run by World Vision and it is a program that involves our local church and the local school. The school matches up disadvantaged children from ages 5 - 12 who need someone to have one on one time with. The children may come from broken families for whatever reasons or one or both of parents are sick and have no time for the child, there are a myriad of reasons why the child needs a mentor. I volunteered my time for 1 hr per week to sit and be with the child. I see this as a positive way Christians are working in my community. The only thing is that we cant initiate talk about Jesus, God or the Church. We can only answer questions if the child asks. This restriction is due to the powers that be that run the schools, but hopefully and with Gods help the Christians will win out in the end and make a positive impression on the child in a way God will be glorified. I am excited and enthusiastic about this program, it will start early October for the 4th term of school.
Does any one in Des Moines have such a similar program and how does it work there?

My recent study (08-30-2007 17:49:24)

At the bible study I usually attend with my husband I had a question about what happens to us when we die, it was put out for open discussion and at the end of the session I still was not satisfied with the answer. I came home and went through the CD's we have of Galyns and found exactly what I wanted. A CD titled "what happens to a believer when the die". It answered all my questions, thank you Galyn, I dont know what I would do without you. My other studies are Galyns teachings on Genesis, Hebrews and 1 COr. I feel the Holy Spirit is guiding me to GW more and more so I can feed from the word. My spirit is becoming more mature with every teaching and I know that it is God inspired. Without this teaching I would not have a clue how to figure out the bible as Galyn explains everything and opens up the meaning of the word.
